Henrick Sawczak was born and raised in Cleveland, OH.  Born in a very loving polish neighborhood, Henrick strapped on his dancing shoes and got his polka on at the early age of three.  His first 'gig' was imitating the legendary Dick Van Dyke as Burt in the classic film Mary Poppins  while watching it in his family's living room.  Since then, he has been in love with the craft ever since.

When he moved to a new neighborhood in Ohio, Henrick quickly began learning many new hobbies and practices.  He signed up for gymnastics while being taught piano by one of the staff workers there.  He practiced juggling thanks to a gift of three bean bag balls and a 'how to' book.  Magic soon followed as well as many trips to the Magic Shop.  He studied photography and the mechanics of film at his Nordonia High School.  While there, he was part of the Swimming and Diving team as well as the Sprint and Pole Vault.  He also became a proficient fencer in Shaker Heights, home town of Paul Newman.   Though the Drama Department is where he truly strived thru plays, musicals, as well as Shakespeare.

Henrick attended The Ohio State University and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering.  Through his time as a student, he kept up with his passion by taking acting and dancing courses, voice lessons, participating in short films for both independent and student filmmakers, and being very active in the prestigious dance program at the buckeye university.  He has performed on their stage for young undergraduates as well as graduate students, and has done many pieces at arts festivals.

When he returned back to Cleveland, he worked full time as a Lab Technician  at a local metal plant.  Seeing that this was not his true calling, Henrick quickly began looking for acting work in his community.  He was accepted into the Cleveland Shakespeare Company in Two Gentlemen of Verona and Measure For Measure.  From there, with the money saved at the metal plant, he decided to hop on the train and move to New York City, where he found The Tom Todoroff Conservatory and studied diligently thru their superb teachers.  He has loved these decisions ever since and considers himself very fortunate.

In addition to his credits as a performer, Henrick has even done backstage work with lighting, music, sound and props.  As well as directing, writing, choreographing, and doing photography.
